    Thank you for your interest in the HP LaserJet Pro 4001dn Printer. Apologies if this does not match what you are asking, but the LaserJet Pro 4001dn is a monochrome printer and so it does not have the ability to print in color. The HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn Printer has similar functions, but a slightly slower print speed up to 35 pages per minute and the multipurpose sheet tray for tray 1 holds half the paper at 50 pages instead of 100.     My company is looking to switch maybe to this printer. I was reading the spec sizes for the 3-tray option what are the actual Hight width and depth of the unit. According to the website the 3-tray option doubles its depth and only gains 1 inch high

    That number does not include the height of the paper tray.     Does the HP 4001n printer work with a Linux operating system in my computer?

    That model does have Linux support. You have to download the HPLIP https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/ to use it.
