New laptop replacement
Very pleased with my new laptop HP 17. The sale price was well worth it, and I love a lot of the newest features that Windows 11 offers. The set up of the keyboard is easy to use and I have added a mouse for ease of searching, etc. I still have a few minor visual chinks to work out but overall is it great. I recommend this for anyone that doesn't want to break the bank with a new laptop purchase.

I have been using my new laptop for only a few weeks. So far all is well. It is well suited to my basic needs at home for browsing, email, texting and running basic types of mapping and other types of software that I use. I am a long term HP customer and user in both my personal and former work life (civil engineering) and have always been very satisfied with their computers. My past machines always ran on Intel processors but after reading up on the AMD Ryzen lineup I decided to give it a go. My new laptop is as fast as I need it to be and then some. I am very pleased with my purchase at this point. I replaced a 5 year old HP laptop running Windows 11. The only negative comment I will make at this point is that there were no instructions included to help with transferring settings and data from a person's old computer to the new one which has always been the case with my past purchases. I got thru the process but anyone faced with doing it for the first time might have a difficult time getting it accomplished. I would recommend HP be sure to include that type of setup help with all their computers. All in all I have no issues or regrets where my new laptop is concerned. The low price on sale is much appreciated as well.

This is a new laptop computer since eighteen years!!! The only thing that it don't have. I player for any CD's or DVD's!!! Other than that everything seems to be working great!!!

Defective hinges
This is the 3rd HP laptop purchase. I've purchased I'm still. trying to figure out what's going on with the hinges on these things because. somehow opening and closing the laptop, the hedges get stuck or whatever is going on with them and the computer just breaks. I got one that's in two pieces now, but it still works. It's just the hinges. I cringe every time I open this laptop because. I can hear it cracking. Has anybody else run into this issue? I did a survey with HP several years ago and I asked about the issue with the hinges, but no one ever got back with me.

Economical upgrades created very capable large screen laptop.
I upgraded the processor, memory, storage and WIFI to obtain a very capable laptop with large screen at a very good price. The features and performance for the price is very good. Greater performance was possible but the incremental cost was high.

All things considered...
This was meant to be a gift. Compared to what they were using prior, this was the most amazing machine ever. However, like usual, I had to go through the system(s) first in order to clean house...yes on a brand new laptop. The recipient only has certain needs and none of those is gaming. And of course this being a Windows 11 means trying to dig through the pile of the junk Microsoft tries to incorporate. And in just a few months between buying two similar laptops from HP, Windows had rearranged the furniture again.
As for the HP build, that too seems to be a moving target...where they don't have as many ports, or a CD drive (long gone) and they even moved the start button to a middle of the keyboard position. So that means one must buy add on devices to maintain productivity in an office setting...and at a still workable price. And while I am always irritated being FORCED to buy Chinese, they shockingly send it direct from Beijing in the flimsiest of packaging. Once the hours are spent of setting everything up to make it functional for the small home office, it seemingly is as good as anything else you will buy in this shrinking market of practical choices. And with HP you can customize a few features to make you think they do this for YOU! But having a choice about screen sizes or colors or keyboards are not as relative as is CPU's or an optional Windows OS setup meant for productivity in EVERY HP configuration. Hopefully, these laptops will last a couple of decades if great care is taken.

$1,000 machine broke on initial setup and HP is too bad so sad... Tech tried to help but ended up HP will SELL you a repair USB for $40+... Need negative stars...

Working Fine
I have had this laptop about a month. It works fine. The only issue I am having is with Zoom when I try to blur or add a background it does not work. Not sure if this is something with the camera or the fact it is a new camera.

Very impressive for the price
At the price point I got off the HP site, I was skeptical, but I have to admit, I have zero complaints to lodge regarding this machine. I work with Windows extensively at work and only recently decided to hunt down a laptop for home use. The performance is excellent and it even survived my early attempts at setting up a dual boot linux (I eventually decided to run on VM). Very pleased and will definitely purchase again from the site when the day comes round again...

Is this computer a proper choice for using QuickBooks?

For any software, you would want to check the system requirements from the publisher's website and make sure the device you want to run it on meets the requirements for the setting you would like to use. Updates can change the requirements which can impact what settings you run it on or if you can run it at all. For software that always require online or for sections that are online, your connection type and speed can also affect how well it runs. Quickbook also has system requirements based on number of users.

Thanks for your question! This HP Laptop 17-cp0097nr can be expanded to 32GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM. Different speed RAM could cause blue screens and system crashes. Also, the RAM slots are designed for the 3200 speed, if a faster speed is used and doesn't blue screen it will still operate at the 3200 speed.
